The MPL Indonesia Season 17 playoffs opened June 10 at the Jakarta International Velodrome. RRQ Hoshi, which finished last in the regular season, did not qualify for the knockout phase. The five-day playoff run runs June 10–14 and will determine Indonesia’s representative at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026. The Velodrome seats about 8,500 spectators.
The tournament carries a $289,475 prize pool. The champion will take at least $56,003. RRQ Hoshi, as the lowest-ranked regular-season team, receives $10,585 from the event purse.
The playoff format places the third- through sixth-ranked teams into a single-elimination first round while the top two seeds receive byes into a double-elimination second round. Most matches are best-of-five. The Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final are best-of-seven.
Opening-day play-ins on June 10 featured Dewa United versus Geek Fam ID and Bigetron by Vitality against EVOS. Upper bracket semifinals on June 11 pair Team Liquid ID with the Dewa/Geek Fam winner and ONIC Esports with the Bigetron/EVOS winner. Losers of those upper semis move to the lower bracket semifinals on June 12. The upper bracket final is also scheduled for June 12. The lower bracket final is set for June 13 and the grand final for June 14.
Regular-season tracking recorded a peak viewership of nearly 2.3 million, about an 11% decline from the same stage of the previous split. Average viewers and total watch time increased compared with the last regular season. Viewers concentrated on YouTube and TikTok platforms. Attention on RRQ Hoshi increased during the regular season while the club struggled and posted a seven-game losing streak.
Matches are being streamed on official Indonesian and English YouTube channels and on TikTok in Indonesian. Community streamers are also providing additional coverage. Tournament organizers will publish match results and viewership figures as the playoffs proceed.
Tournament officials moved the playoff site from the XO Hall (MPL Arena) to the larger Jakarta International Velodrome to accommodate a bigger in-person audience and the extended playoff schedule. The playoffs will conclude the domestic MPL season and decide which Indonesian team advances to international midseason competition.
