LoL patch 26.7 adds two-week Chaos on the Rift event

Riot Games released League of Legends patch 26.7 globally on April 1. The update adds free April Fool’s rewards unlocked after eight games, a two-week Chaos on the Rift non-ranked event, balance changes to several champions and tweaks to ARAM Mayhem and the support quest. Riot also announced six new skins arriving April 15, 2026.

Patch 26.7 is active until the next patch, 26.8, which is scheduled for April 15. The limited April Fool’s rewards and the Chaos on the Rift event end when patch 26.8 goes live.

Players can unlock the April Fool’s rewards by completing eight matches during the two-week period. The event content is available in non-ranked modes.

Chaos on the Rift adds random effects to normal games. The event can summon a Karthus ultimate on the enemy team when a champion dies. Some minions and jungle monsters may appear as shiny variants that drop gold coins any player can pick up. Completed items can become shiny and grant small stat bonuses plus a decorative border. Players can find GP5 items that build into a Lucky Urf Statue. Certain minions and monsters may appear disguised, and takedowns can generate cosmetic hat effects.

The patch includes champion adjustments for Kalista, Veigar and Rell, plus another round of tuning for reworked Shyvana. Riot’s notes list numeric changes to abilities, damage values and other stats; the entries adjust power and gameplay after recent updates.

ARAM Mayhem and the support quest received changes to their mechanics and rewards. Riot’s patch notes contain the specific values and descriptions.
