Jakarta, Krakow and Santiago set 2026 esports viewership records

Jakarta’s M7 World Championship in January 2026 produced the largest live audience recorded in the mobile esports segment. Organizers reported that the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament reached record concurrent viewership for mobile esports.

Poland’s Krakow hosted an Intel Extreme Masters event in place of Katowice in early 2026. The Krakow stop saw live audiences for the Counter-Strike series reach record levels for the second consecutive year, according to tournament organizers.

The Santiago Masters in Chile hosted the season’s first international Valorant event. Broadcasters registered peaks of hundreds of thousands of concurrent viewers during the tournament.

By the end of March, national viewership records were also recorded in the Netherlands and India. The Netherlands hosted the final stage of the BLAST Open Spring 2026, which posted a national peak. India set a new national record during the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2026, the leading event for the localized version of PUBG Mobile.

By late April, the Esports Charts Global Map had added the new milestones and introduced a viewership records timeline beneath the map. The map now shows updated national records and offers filtering by global records or specific game titles.

Industry analysts attributed the audience gains to publisher investments in marketing and broadcast infrastructure, the geographic expansion of established series into new host cities, and strong interest in both PC/console and mobile titles.

The updated map lets users track where and when viewership peaks occurred during the first half of 2026.
