How to watch PGL Astana 2026: dates, teams, streams

PGL Astana 2026 is a Tier-1 Counter-Strike 2 event in Kazakhstan from May 9 to 17. The tournament features 16 teams and an $800,000 prize pool. VRS ranking points will be awarded and will affect season standings.

The competition starts with a 16-team Swiss group stage from May 9 to 13, with all matches played as best-of-three. The top eight teams from the group stage advance to the playoffs. The knockout stage runs May 15 to 17 in a single-elimination bracket. Quarterfinals and semifinals are best-of-three and the grand final is best-of-five. A third-place match is scheduled on the final day before the grand final.

Eleven teams qualified by the March VRS ranking and five earned spots through regional qualifiers. The field includes FURIA, MOUZ, PARIVISION, Team Falcons, Team Spirit, Aurora Gaming, The MongolZ, G2 Esports, Gentle Mates, HEROIC, Monte, magic, K27, Fisher College, 9z Team and The Huns Esports.

FURIA and Aurora Gaming are the highest-ranked teams in the draw. Team Spirit reached the final at IEM Rio 2026. Team Falcons will appear under new captain Finn “karrigaN” Andersen; their opening match is against K27, making its first top-tier appearance.

Gentle Mates and 9z Team qualified through results on the Tier-2 circuit and will face higher-ranked opponents in Astana.

Live coverage will stream on PGL’s official Twitch channels (PGL and PGL_CS2) and the PGL Official YouTube channel. During the group stage multiple streams will run concurrently to cover simultaneous matches. Independent casters are expected to provide additional feeds.

Last year’s PGL Astana reached a peak concurrent viewership of nearly 920,000. PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 recorded a peak above 908,000. Organizers have not released viewership projections for the 2026 event.
