Hard Rock Bet launches online in Ontario

Hard Rock Bet launched an online casino and sportsbook in Ontario on July 22, 2026, its first market outside the United States.

Hard Rock Bet launched its online casino and sportsbook in Ontario on July 22, 2026. The platform is available as native apps for Apple and Android and through a desktop site for Ontario players.

Hard Rock Digital said the Ontario product includes more than 3,000 casino games alongside sports betting. The company integrated the platform with Unity rewards, allowing players to earn Unity Points and redeem them in the Hard Rock Reward Store. Ontario customers will be eligible for Legendary Reward Drops, a weekly guaranteed rewards program with ongoing promotions.

Marlon Goldstein, chief executive and executive managing director of Hard Rock Digital, described the launch as Ontario-specific: “Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we’ve brought our platform to an audience outside the US. We’re excited to introduce Ontario players to a premium entertainment experience that reflects the energy and service synonymous with the Hard Rock brand. And by investing in local talent, local partnerships, and localized customer support, we’re creating an experience designed specifically for Ontario players.”

Hard Rock Bet’s online casino already operates in New Jersey and Michigan. Its sportsbook operates in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia. The operator is also Florida’s exclusive legal online betting platform under the Seminole Tribe compact.

Hard Rock’s existing casino in Ottawa influenced the choice of Ontario, the company said. A company spokesperson wrote that the team was pleased with the technical and operational work to put the platform live outside the United States and that the immediate focus is on delivering a good experience for players in Ontario. The spokesperson added that expanded marketing campaigns and creative assets are planned for early August.

Alberta opened its online gambling market to commercial operators on July 13, 2026. Hard Rock Digital has not announced plans to enter Alberta and said it is too early to provide insights on further Canadian expansion.

Statistics Canada reported Canadian travel to the United States fell about 25% in 2025, and cellphone data analyzed by researchers at the University of Toronto indicated a drop of nearly 42%. More recent data show some recovery in cross-border travel.

Hard Rock Bet’s launch expands the operator’s presence into Canada’s regulated online market. The company has not confirmed availability in other provinces; any further moves are likely to appear through marketing activity and public announcements.
