Hanwha Life beats T1, draws 1.29M peak viewers

Hanwha Life Esports defeated T1 on June 12 to secure the League of Legends Champions Korea’s first direct qualification spot for the Mid-Season Invitational 2026. The Road to MSI series between the two teams reached a peak concurrent audience of 1.29 million viewers; viewership data are preliminary and may be updated within 24 hours.

The best-of series opened with an early lead for Hanwha Life, and T1 recovered briefly in one game before Hanwha Life closed out the final two matches to take the series. The result also confirmed Hanwha Life’s place at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris.

T1 had already secured a berth at the Esports World Cup by winning the Korea Qualifier. With Hanwha Life joining T1 as the qualifier runner-up, the next Korean slot is allocated to Dplus KIA despite that team’s earlier loss to KT Rolster in Round 2 of the Road to MSI.

Through June 12, the LCK 2026 Road to MSI ranks fourth in peak viewership among League of Legends competitions this year and has not matched the peak concurrent numbers from the 2025 Road to MSI edition. Round 5 of the Road to MSI is scheduled for June 14 and will decide Korea’s second direct qualifier to MSI 2026.

Round 5 will pit either Hanwha Life or T1 against the winner of the Round 4 match between Gen.G and KT Rolster, which is set for June 13. The Mid-Season Invitational runs from June 28 to July 12 at Daejeon Convention Center II in Daejeon, South Korea.
