B.AI launches on TRON to enable agent payments, identity

B.AI launched on TRON to give AI agents on-chain identity, automated payments and real-time settlement using the 8004 identity protocol and the x402 payment standard.

B.AI launched on the TRON network on April 15, 2026, the TRON DAO said in a release. The platform links AI agents to on-chain identities, enables automated payments and supports real-time settlement using the 8004 identity protocol and the x402 payment standard.

B.AI provides a unified API and settlement layer that lets agent wallets hold assets, request services from AI models and execute payments without traditional account registration, geographic restrictions or credit-card rails. The platform is designed for automated, trustless value transfers so agents can pay for compute, access services and settle transactions independently.

The 8004 protocol creates a recorded on-chain identity for each agent by linking blockchain addresses to activity logs, feedback and credentials. That identity can be used to verify reputation and permissions when agents interact with services or other agents.

For payments, B.AI implements the x402 standard, an open protocol based on the HTTP 402 payment concept. x402 supports automated transfers between agents, real-time settlement and high-frequency transactions, allowing rapid machine-to-machine payment flows for API calls and compute resources.

TRON was selected for its transaction capacity, low fees and stablecoin liquidity. The TRON release cited network data showing more than $22 billion in daily transaction volume, a circulating on-chain Tether (USDT) supply above $86 billion and annual transfer volume exceeding $7.9 trillion. As of April 2026 the blockchain had recorded over 375 million user accounts, more than 13 billion transactions and over $27 billion in total value locked.

Justin Sun, founder of TRON, commented in the announcement: “AI agents will participate in the global economy in ways humans cannot, executing transactions continuously and at machine speed. Supporting that activity requires financial infrastructure that is fast, reliable, and accessible at a global scale. The TRON infrastructure and its stablecoin ecosystem already process large volumes of real-world transactions, providing a strong foundation for the next generation of AI-driven financial systems.”

TRON DAO is listed as a Gold Member of the Agentic AI Foundation under the Linux Foundation. The foundation provides neutral stewardship for open, interoperable infrastructure as agentic AI systems move toward production environments.

B.AI’s documentation says the platform aims to let agents transact, collaborate and operate continuously at scale by combining model access, identity primitives and payment rails. The project is presented as infrastructure to support automated economic activity between AI agents and digital services.
