Whales Withdraw $2.7M in TRUMP Tokens Before Mar-a-Lago Event
Whales withdrew over $2.7 million in TRUMP tokens from exchanges ahead of the April 25 Mar-a-Lago event; the token traded near $2.82 after losing a 50% rally.
Large cryptocurrency wallet holders withdrew millions of TRUMP tokens from exchanges in the lead-up to an April 25 conference and luncheon at Mar-a-Lago. On April 12 the token traded near $2.82 after losing gains from an earlier rally.
On-chain tracker Lookonchain reported one wallet withdrew 850,488 TRUMP, roughly $2.4 million, from Bybit over two days. A second wallet removed 105,754 TRUMP from Binance. The Binance-linked wallet now holds about 1.13 million TRUMP, valued at about $3.2 million. Combined withdrawals exceeded $2.7 million.
Blockchain analytics firm Santiment recorded a redistribution of tokens after the March 12 announcement of the event. Wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million TRUMP trimmed positions from about 320.09 trillion tokens to 307.95 trillion in late March, then increased to 310.1 trillion by April 12.
Addresses holding between 1 million and 10 million tokens added roughly 5.56 trillion TRUMP, bringing their total to about 166.94 trillion. Wallets holding 100,000 to 1 million tokens increased by about 5%, from 96.59 trillion to 101.46 trillion.
TRUMP’s price rose more than 50% immediately after the event was announced, briefly reaching roughly $4.49. By April 12 the token had surrendered those gains and traded near $2.82. Year-to-date the token is down more than 41%, and it has declined over 11% in the past month.
Organizers have linked token holdings to event access: the top 297 token holders on the leaderboard will receive conference seats, and the 29 largest wallets will gain VIP access to a private reception with the former president.
The on-chain data shows withdrawals from exchanges and accumulation in specific wallet tiers. The reported metrics were provided by Santiment and Lookonchain, and price levels were taken from on-chain and exchange price feeds.
