Peak concurrent viewership at the Valorant Esports World Cup 2026 dropped 45.6% to 246,304 during the July 12 Grand Final in France.

The Valorant Esports World Cup 2026, held in France, recorded a peak concurrent audience of 246,304 during the July 12 Grand Final between 100 Thieves and NRG Esports. That figure was about 45.6% lower than the roughly 453,000 peak viewers recorded at the 2025 edition.

Organizers offered a $2 million prize pool, a 60% increase from 2025. All group-stage matches were played as best-of-three series. Total watch time for the tournament fell 8.2% compared with the previous year.

Several established franchises did not take part, including Fnatic, Sentinels and Gen.G Esports. Teams with large followings that did compete, such as Karmine Corp and Paper Rex, were eliminated in the Group Stage. Defending champion Team Heretics and French team Gentle Mates lost their opening Playoffs matches and were knocked out.

The Playoffs did not include several widely followed teams. Viewership for the final rounds was lower than in 2025.

On July 12, 100 Thieves defeated NRG Esports 3-1 to win the Grand Final and collect the $600,000 first prize. NRG received $340,000 as runner-up. Korea’s Nongshim RedForce beat Turkey’s BBL Esports 2-0 in the third-place match and earned $220,000.

100 Thieves received 1,000 Club Championship points and moved to the top of the rankings; NRG moved to third with 750 points. The Esports World Cup 2026 placed tenth among Valorant events by popularity for the year.
