Uquid launches ticketing on TRON with instant USDT payments
Uquid launched Uquid Tickets on TRON, naming TRON the exclusive chain for instant, low‑fee purchases of verified event tickets with TRC‑20 USDT and other TRON tokens.
London, April 13, 2026 — Uquid announced the launch of Uquid Tickets on the TRON blockchain and designated TRON as the exclusive primary network for buying verified event tickets with TRC‑20 USDT and other TRON tokens. The company said ticket purchases settle in seconds and carry near‑zero on‑chain fees.
The platform allows customers to buy tickets for football matches, international tournaments, concerts, festivals and other live events worldwide. Uquid said buyers do not need an account on the platform; they only must connect a TRON‑compatible wallet and confirm payment to receive a verified ticket after on‑chain confirmation.
Uquid cited TRON’s block confirmation times and an estimated throughput of up to about 2,000 transactions per second as the technical basis for fast settlement and low costs. The company framed the launch as an answer to recurring issues in live events ticketing, including high fees, slow settlement and ticket fraud. Uquid and TRON said on‑chain records create immutable transfer histories that can be verified by operators and buyers.
Uquid’s Crypto Shopping Report 2025 showed TRON handled about 48% of the platform’s crypto shopping transactions in 2025, up from 42.5% in 2024 and peaking at 54% in the first half of 2025. The report indicated USDT on TRON made up 54% to 60% of stablecoin transaction volume on Uquid. Regional data from the company put TRON’s share of crypto shopping volume at roughly 45% in Latin America, 35% in Africa and 25% in Asia.
Baobie Vo, Head of Business Development at Uquid, commented: “TRON has consistently powered nearly half of our entire 2025 shopping volume and dominates stablecoin activity on our platform.” Vo added that launching Uquid Tickets exclusively on TRON followed those usage patterns and that the function is intended to let customers convert digital assets into event tickets with fast settlement and low fees.
Sam Elfarra, a community spokesperson for TRON DAO, commented that the integration creates a direct spending path for stablecoin holders in markets where TRON is widely used on Uquid. The spokesperson described the integration as enabling users to spend digital assets on live experiences using TRON’s payment infrastructure.
Uquid said the TRON integration also lays groundwork for future automated and AI‑assisted features. The company described potential agentic payment capabilities that could automate purchases based on predefined budgets or provide alerts and smart tracking for favored teams or artists; these features were presented as future capabilities rather than immediate launch items.
Uquid is a Web3 shopping and payment infrastructure that supports more than 100 cryptocurrencies. TRON DAO, founded in 2017 and associated with Justin Sun, operates the TRON blockchain. As of April 2026, TRON metrics cited by the network include more than 374 million user accounts, over 13 billion transactions and about $26 billion in total value locked.
To buy a ticket on Uquid Tickets, users browse events on the platform, select seats, connect a supported TRON wallet and pay with a supported token. Verified tickets are issued on‑chain after the transaction is confirmed, and Uquid and TRON noted the fast settlement and low fees as the main differences from conventional ticketing payments.
