Top Counter-Strike players in H1 2026
Esports Charts ranked the five best Counter-Strike players of H1 2026 by match and team influence. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov tops the list after Team Falcons won the IEM Cologne Major.
Esports Charts published a ranking of the five best Counter-Strike players for the first half of 2026 based on influence in matches and contribution to team results during January–June 2026. The assessment emphasized impact on game outcomes across multiple S-Tier events, including the IEM Cologne Major in Germany.
Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov is listed at number one after Team Falcons won the IEM Cologne Major. The 21-year-old was named tournament MVP, posted the competition’s highest overall rating (1.25) and a KPRW of 1.10 at Cologne, and helped Falcons open the grand final with a 2-0 lead against FURIA. The title was Team Falcons’ first Major win; m0NESY had entered the event on an eight-game losing streak in grand finals.
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut of Team Vitality ranks second. Vitality won five consecutive S-Tier events through May. At Cologne, ZywOo led the field in average damage per round, recorded the event-high Kills Per Round (0.89) and posted the top Swing percentage (+3.80%), while Vitality finished outside the podium.
Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is third. The 19-year-old Team Spirit entry fragger finished H1 2026 as the highest-rated player overall and earned an EVP award at Cologne. Team Spirit secured one event win in the period; donk later described his semifinal loss to Falcons as a moment in which he “choked.”
Shahar “FlameZ” Shushan of Team Vitality appears at fourth after a run of consistent performances that helped Vitality claim multiple early-season titles. He collected several EVP awards during Vitality’s five-title streak but saw his form decline in the Cologne playoffs, where Vitality lost to Falcons in the quarterfinals.
Finn “karrigan” Andersen rounds out the top five. The veteran in-game leader joined Team Falcons after a difficult spell with his previous team and the side’s failure to qualify for the German Major. Karrigan provided the in-match leadership credited with steadying Falcons through the Major run; he has acknowledged he had been “battling demons” and had considered retirement earlier in the season.
Esports Charts also listed honorable mentions, including Dmitriy “Sh1ro” Sokolov, who recorded his 26th big-event EVP at Cologne; Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, who helped FURIA to multiple podium finishes in what he has said will be his final year as a pro; and Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko of G2 Esports, who kept one of the highest individual ratings in H1 and earned an EVP at the Major.
The ranking used match-level statistics and event awards from S-Tier tournaments in H1 2026, with a priority on how individual players influenced match and team outcomes rather than on viewership or simple KDA metrics.
