Team Liquid PH won MPL Philippines Season 17 with a 4-2 victory over Team Falcons PH in the Grand Final, securing their third consecutive domestic MPL title.

Team Liquid finished the group stage with the best record, losing only one match across 14 series. In the playoffs they defeated Omega Esports and ONIC Philippines before closing out the season against Team Falcons PH. Team Falcons had been the only team to beat Team Liquid during the group stage.

Viewership tracking showed the season reached 33.1 million total Hours Watched and, for the first time in league history, averaged more than 200,000 viewers. Average Viewers exceeded the previous franchise record by about 7.1 percent. Season 17 ranked second all-time by Peak Viewers, roughly 100,000 viewers short of the high mark set in Season 15. The Grand Final peaked at more than 1.69 million viewers, the highest single-match peak of the tournament and a record for Team Falcons PH.

TikTok was the leading platform for the season, surpassing YouTube in Hours Watched, Peak Viewers and Average Viewers. Average Viewers on the league’s TikTok channels rose about 49 percent compared with the previous season.

ONIC Philippines drew heavy audience engagement despite not reaching the Grand Final. Four of the five most-watched matches featured ONIC, and the team led the event in both total Hours Watched and Average Viewers per match.

By regional comparison, MPL Philippines Season 17 ranked second among MPL leagues by viewership. MPL Indonesia remained the top draw, regularly exceeding two million Peak Viewers, while MPL Malaysia held third place.

Both grand finalists qualified for the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, part of the Esports World Cup 2026 festival, which was relocated from Riyadh to Paris due to safety concerns. The Mid Season Cup will feature a $3 million prize pool, and Team Liquid PH will enter the event as the reigning international champions.
