T1’s Peyz Sets LoL Record with 14 Pentakills
T1 bot laner Kim ‘Peyz’ Su-hwan recorded his 14th career pentakill on map one vs Kiwoom DRX, an all-time LoL esports record, as T1 won the series 2–1 to reach Road to MSI.
Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan recorded his 14th career pentakill on the first map of T1’s series against Kiwoom DRX during LCK 2026 Week 8. The five-kill performance set a new all-time record in professional League of Legends competition. T1 won the series 2–1 and secured a spot in the LCK Road to MSI stage.
Peyz’s 14th pentakill surpassed his previous total and established a new outright lead for career pentakills among professional players. The pentakill occurred on map one and contributed to T1’s series victory that advanced the team into Road to MSI. The Road to MSI stage brings together the top six teams from the first two rounds of the LCK regular season; the top two teams from that event will qualify for the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational.
Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, Chen “GALA” Wei and Anıl “HolyPhoenix” Işık are tied for second with 12 career pentakills each. Hsu “Celebrity” Chia-Wei follows with 11 pentakills.
Peyz advanced through Gen.G’s development pipeline, moving from Gen.G Academy to Gen.G Challengers before joining Gen.G’s main roster ahead of the 2023 LCK season. He replaced Park “Ruler” at Gen.G and was on the roster that won LCK titles in 2023. He reached 1,000 career kills in fewer than 200 LCK games. After playing the 2025 season with JD Gaming, Peyz returned to the LCK with T1 for the 2026 season and assumed the starting bot lane position following Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung’s departure.
