Strategy Adds 3,273 BTC After $255M From 1.45M MSTR Shares

Strategy bought 3,273 BTC at $77,906 per coin after raising about $255 million by issuing 1.45 million MSTR common shares.

Strategy purchased 3,273 bitcoins at $77,906 per coin after raising roughly $255 million by issuing 1.45 million MSTR common shares. The weekly addition increased the company’s total bitcoin holdings to 818,334 BTC, the company reported.

The $255 million funding paid about $77,906 per bitcoin for the latest purchase. As of April 26, 2026, Strategy reported holding 818,334 BTC acquired for approximately $61.81 billion, or about $75,537 per coin. The company also reported a bitcoin yield of 9.6% year-to-date in 2026.

The purchase completed in the week ending April 26, 2026 and was funded through common-share issuance; Strategy did not raise STRC preferred stock during the week. After the transaction, MSTR traded near a one-month high at about $171.02.

Executive chairman Michael Saylor posted on X ahead of the weekly filing but did not indicate a large-scale purchase for the week. Saylor has more than 5 million followers on the platform.

This week’s addition of 3,273 BTC was smaller than the prior week’s purchase of 34,164 BTC, which was among the largest single-week acquisitions in the company’s history. The reduced size reflected the company’s reliance on MSTR common-share proceeds rather than cash or STRC inflows for this purchase.

Strategy reported that STRC preferred shares carry an 11.5% annual yield paid monthly. Buyers tend to cluster their purchases around ex-dividend dates. The company sold about $9 million worth of STRC on Monday, and STRC trading volume has slowed compared with earlier months.

To smooth demand, Strategy said it will move to bi-weekly payouts for STRC. The company also reported it has stopped issuing other preferred shares and is focusing on STRC, with about $19.4 billion still available to raise under its stated plan.

Company disclosures cited a theoretical risk-free rate of return for STRC at 3.7% and recent STRC volatility in the 2–3% range. The filings noted the company has a two-year runway to cover STRC dividend obligations.

Public companies collectively hold roughly 1.21 million BTC, of which Strategy’s 818,334 coins represent the majority. Strategy reported that bitcoin accounts for about 95.3% of its treasuries by value. The company reported that its future bitcoin additions will follow its fundraising and purchase cadence.
