Paper Rex sweeps FULL SENSE; Pacific final peaks at 553,883

Paper Rex swept FULL SENSE 3-0 to win VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1, with the grand final drawing a peak audience of 553,883 viewers. The figure set a series record for the region and included a Thai peak of more than 110,000 viewers.

Paper Rex reached the final after being sent to the lower bracket by Global Esports in their opening playoff match. PRX then won consecutive elimination matches, including a lower-bracket semifinal against T1 that peaked at about 485,300 viewers, roughly 1,000 viewers short of the previous regional peak.

In the grand final Paper Rex closed the match 3-0 over FULL SENSE. FULL SENSE had advanced from Group Omega with a 3-2 record and won three upper-bracket matches without dropping a map before the final.

The Playoffs produced the event’s highest single-match numbers but did not offset weaker Group Stage results. Average viewers for the Pacific region remained down 5.3% at the end of the Playoffs. Total watch time and average concurrent viewership did not return to last year’s levels.

Market-level data showed shifts in audience composition. English-language peak viewership rose by more than 41% year over year. Peaks in Japan and Vietnam increased compared with 2025. The Thai peak during the grand final was more than double last year’s result. Korean viewership did not improve during the Playoffs, and the Korean peak in 2026 was substantially lower than in 2025.

Paper Rex’s victory earned the team qualification spots at the Esports World Cup and Valorant Masters London 2026. FULL SENSE and Global Esports also qualified for Masters London and will begin the Swiss Stage on June 6.
