The format gives the third- through sixth-seeded teams a single-elimination first round on June 3, while the first- and second-seeded teams receive byes into a double-elimination second round. All matches are best-of-five except the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final, which are best-of-seven. Play-in matches on June 3 pair Team Vamos with RRQ Tora and Team Rey with Bigetron MY by VIT. Upper Bracket Semifinals on June 4 will match Invictus Gaming with the winner of the Vamos/RRQ Tora game and Selangor Red Giants with the winner of Rey/Bigetron MY by VIT. Losers of the upper-bracket semifinals move to the Lower Bracket Semifinals on June 5; the Upper Bracket Final is scheduled the same day. The Lower Bracket Final on June 6 will pit the Lower Bracket Semifinals winner against the Upper Bracket Final loser for the second Grand Final berth. The Grand Final is a best-of-seven on June 7.
The regular season was held at Quill City Mall Level 6 Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur; the playoffs are at Stadium Juara. The $100,000 purse will be divided among participants, with the largest shares reserved for the top two finishers. Historical distributions in the Malaysian circuit indicate last-placed teams may receive no prize money.
Season 17 regular-season viewership recorded a peak concurrent audience of more than 630,000 and a total of over 13 million hours watched. The league reduced participating teams from ten to eight under a franchise model while increasing the number of matches; live-tracking of viewers and match metrics will continue through the playoffs.
