LCS Spring 2026 posts record-low regular-season viewership
LCS Spring 2026 recorded 3.33 million hours watched, the fewest for a Regular Season. Average concurrent viewers fell 23% to 52,314 and peak viewership dropped 10%.
The LCS Spring 2026 Regular Season drew 3.33 million hours watched across seven weeks, the lowest total in the circuit’s history. Average concurrent viewers fell more than 23% to 52,314, while season peak viewership declined about 10%.
The season opened with the LCS 2026 Lock-In peaking at 185,000 viewers, a slight uptick from the LTA North opener. Overall watch time for the Regular Season was 15% lower than the LTA North 2025 Split 2.
The most-watched Regular Season match was Cloud9 versus Team Liquid in the final week, which reached a peak of 86,608 viewers as Team Liquid recorded its second loss of the split. Despite that match, peak metrics remained below the comparable prior period.
Portuguese-language watch time, largely from Brazil, fell more than 75% compared with LTA North 2025 Split 2. Spanish-language viewership held roughly steady but accounted for a small share of the total audience and remained below Brazilian totals despite the drop.
On a regional basis, the LCS’ 3.33 million hours is comparable to the LCP’s 3.16 million hours for its 2026 Split 2 Regular Season. Brazil’s CBLOL reported 6.44 million hours for 2026 Split 1, exceeding the LCS total.
Historically, the LCS saw its highest audience levels around 2017 and experienced a peak in 2022 associated in part with pandemic-related viewing. Since 2022, regular-season viewership has declined year over year.
The circuit returned to the LCS brand in 2026; the rebrand did not reverse the Regular Season viewership decline. The playoffs were scheduled to begin on May 22.
North American livestreamer Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart announced plans to co-stream League of Legends esports, including the LCS finals. Organizers and industry observers view high-profile co-streams as a potential source of additional peak viewers.
