LCS Spring 2026 posts record-low 183,152 peak viewers

LCS Spring 2026 peaked at 183,152 live viewers, the lowest in league history and the second straight LCS event to fall below 200,000 peak viewers.

LCS Spring 2026 reached a peak of 183,152 live viewers, the lowest peak in the league’s history. It was the second consecutive LCS event to record a peak below 200,000 viewers.

The split’s peak was roughly 2,000 viewers lower than the earlier LCS Lock-In 2026. Spring averaged 63,949 viewers across matches, down from the Lock-In average of 89,516, a decline of about 29 percent. LCS Spring 2023 peaked at 271,376 viewers.

The Grand Final between Team Liquid and LYON was the most-watched match; LYON won 3–0. The championship series did not exceed the Lock-In peak. Peak concurrent numbers for these 2026 events were closer to figures typically seen in the LCS Academy League than to historical LCS highs.

LYON and Team Liquid qualified for the Mid-Season Invitational 2026 as champion and runner-up. The first-placed team, LYON, also secured North America’s single spot at the Esports World Cup 2026. LYON became the sixth franchise in LCS history to win back-to-back titles.

LYON jungler Kacper “Inspired” Słoma won his fourth straight title and his seventh overall across 12 career title attempts. He has previously won championships with Evil Geniuses and FlyQuest.

Riot Games released details for the LCS Summer split during the Grand Final. Summer will run from July 25 to early October with a best-of-three round-robin regular season. Most regular-season matches will be played without a live audience at the LCS Face Off Studio; fans will attend opening week and Week 7. The top six teams will enter an expanded playoff gauntlet to decide three North American spots at Worlds 2026. The season will conclude with a live championship at the Gas South Arena near Atlanta on October 3–4.

The Mid-Season Invitational 2026 is scheduled for June 28 to July 12 at the Daejeon Convention Center II in Daejeon, South Korea. Eleven teams will compete; the prize pool has not been announced. Teams will compete at MSI before the Summer split begins.
