Karrigan in talks with Team Falcons as FaZe struggles

Finn “karrigan” Andersen is reported to be in negotiations to join Team Falcons’ Counter-Strike 2 roster. Multiple insiders and organizations within the esports scene have linked the veteran in-game leader to Falcons; neither team has issued an official announcement.

The reported talks follow a difficult 2026 stretch for FaZe Clan. FaZe failed to qualify for several major events, exited in the group stage at multiple tournaments and finished last at PGL Bucharest 2026. The organization had been the runner-up at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.

FaZe made coaching changes during 2026 in attempts to address results, but match outcomes did not improve during the stretch described above.

Individual player statistics show mixed results. David “frozen” Čerňanský and Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken posted strong event ratings across multiple tournaments, while team results did not produce consistent wins.

Analysts point to a recurring pattern in modern CS2: high individual numbers do not always translate into wins when mid-round leadership and coordinated strategy are inconsistent.

Team Falcons has a roster that regularly reaches late stages of events but has not converted those runs into recent titles. Falcons finished second at ESL Pro League Season 22 and at BLAST Bounty Winter 2026.

Sources indicate Falcons view karrigan as a candidate to add in-game leadership and playoff experience. A completed transfer would reunite him with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, a former FaZe teammate, and place him alongside coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen.

If the transfer is completed, FaZe would lose its current in-game leader. The organization could announce roster or coaching changes after any official confirmation.

Negotiations are ongoing and unconfirmed. An official roster announcement from either organization will determine the next steps for both teams and their plans for the CS2 season.
