IEM Cologne Major sets Counter-Strike viewership records

IEM Cologne Major 2026 drew over 2.76 million peak viewers and exceeded 100 million hours watched, setting new records for peak, average and total hours.

At IEM Cologne Major 2026 in Cologne, Germany, the grand final drew more than 2.76 million peak concurrent viewers and the tournament surpassed 100 million Hours Watched, the first Counter-Strike event to reach that mark. Organizers reported new all-time highs for Peak Viewers, Average Viewers and total Hours Watched.

Team Falcons defeated FURIA 3-0 in the best-of-five grand final to win the organization’s first Counter-Strike Major title. Falcons won every map in the final. The victory awarded Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov their first Major trophies, while Finn “karrigan” Andersen collected his second Major title.

Falcons advanced to the final after eliminating NAVI, Team Vitality and Team Spirit. FURIA entered the final unbeaten at the event but lost to Falcons in the deciding series.

Karrigan joined Falcons from FaZe Clan in April 2026 and led the roster to the title two months later. He previously won PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and had appeared in five Major finals while at FaZe.

Peak Viewers measures the highest number of concurrent viewers at any moment. Average Viewers records mean viewership across broadcasts. Hours Watched sums total viewing time across all streams and platforms.

Organizers will publish a full event report with detailed viewership numbers and an audience breakdown within 24 hours. Officials and analysts noted strong live attendance and multiple language broadcasts as factors in the event’s audience scale.
