Organizers described the opening-day viewership as preliminary; final figures will be posted within 24 hours on the event’s official statistics channel.
Swiss Stage 1 opened with 16 best-of-one matches. Under the format, teams must record three wins to advance to the next stage or suffer three losses to be eliminated. The first day produced a full slate of Round 1 and several Round 2 matches.
Round 1 results included M80 defeating Lynn Vision Gaming 13-8 on Inferno, FlyQuest beating SINNERS Esports 16-14 on Ancient, B8 Esports overcoming TYLOO 13-6 on Mirage, and THUNDER besting MIBR 13-6 on Inferno. GamerLegion upset NRG Esports 13-10 on Inferno, Sharks Esports beat HEROIC 13-10 on Nuke, BB Team routed Gaimin Gladiators 13-4 on Dust2, and Team Liquid defeated BIG 13-10 on Nuke.
Early Round 2 action produced additional results and set up multiple follow-up matches. B8 Esports recorded a 13-11 win over THUNDER on Dust2, and Lynn Vision Gaming edged HEROIC 13-11 on Dust2. Other Round 2 fixtures included GamerLegion versus FlyQuest, M80 versus Sharks Esports, and BB Team versus Team Liquid in the upper bracket, and MIBR versus TYLOO, SINNERS versus NRG, and BIG versus Gaimin Gladiators in the lower bracket. Several of those matches ran concurrently across broadcast channels.
Play continues on Day 2 with eight Round 3 matches scheduled to begin around noon on June 3. Multiple matches will be shown at the same time, and viewers should consult the broadcast schedule to follow live coverage across maps and streams.
For comparison, the first day of the previous Major in Budapest reached a peak audience of 473,100 viewers, while that event’s most-watched single match peaked at about 378,700 viewers. The Cologne field includes a mix of established organizations and rising squads competing through the Swiss-format stages toward the playoffs.
