FNCS 2026 Major 1 Europe peaks at 243,203, down 96.6%

FNCS 2026 Major 1: Europe reached a peak of 243,203 live viewers during Round 12 of the finals on April 26. That peak was 96.6% lower than the opening Major in 2025, according to viewership data.

Total watch hours for the Major were about 51.6% lower than the same event in 2025. The field expanded to 50 duos from 33 the previous year. Organizers set the regional Major’s prize pool at roughly $591,500, about $300,000 less than in 2025. Broadcast channels and scheduled airtime were consistent with the prior year.

The event lacked some high-profile streamers who broadcasted in 2025, including Corentin “Gotaga” Houssein. The finals also overlapped with other esports and influencer events such as the LCK, MPL, Free Fire World Series, Baller League, Supernova Strikers and Arena of Glory, dividing viewers across simultaneous broadcasts.

A format change for Season 20 makes the top 20 sides from regional Majors eligible for the FNCS 2026 Major 1 Summit. The Summit will be held May 29–31 at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, which will be converted into an esports arena. The Summit field will include 75 duos from regions including Europe, North America, Brazil and the Middle East, and the top 15 duos will advance to the Fortnite Global Championship. The Summit carries a $1 million prize pool.

Organizers have not provided further comment on the audience figures. FNCS remains Fortnite’s primary competitive circuit for players seeking qualification to the Global Championship, and Season 20 continues the duos format with Major events feeding into cross-regional qualifiers.
