Falcons lose seventh straight S-tier final with m0NESY
Team Falcons lost a seventh straight S-tier grand final since signing Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, extending the player’s championship drought dating to BLAST Premier: World Final 2024.
Team Falcons finished runner-up at the CS Asia Championships 2026, marking their seventh consecutive S-tier grand final loss with Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov on the roster.
m0NESY’s last championship was BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 with G2 Esports. In April 2025, he and G2 placed second at PGL Bucharest 2025 after losing the grand final to Team Falcons. He transferred to Falcons shortly after that event.
Since his arrival, Falcons have reached the deciding match at seven S-tier tournaments and lost each one. Several of those finals were defeats to Team Vitality. The team’s IEM Melbourne 2025 final drew a peak audience of more than 1.25 million viewers, the highest viewership for a Falcons grand final.
Finn “karrigan” Andersen joined Falcons as captain about a month before CS Asia Championships 2026. The result at the event was his second runner-up finish with the team.
Falcons remain highly placed in both HLTV and VRS global rankings. The team is scheduled to begin its IEM Cologne Major 2026 campaign directly in Stage 3.
