Team Spirit defeated Team Falcons 3-0 to win the event. Ilya m0nesy Osipov (m0nesy) received the tournament MVP after the high-profile matchup with Danil donk Kryshkovets (donk).
Broadcasts for the tournament generated 23.4 million Hours Watched, a 7% increase from the prior year. Average Viewership rose to 295,400, up 13.5% from PGL Astana 2025.
Organizers reported a 31% increase in unique broadcasting channels, which expanded language coverage across streams. The Russian-language broadcast reached a peak of 548,200 concurrent viewers, the second-highest Russian-language peak in Counter-Strike history.
Portuguese-language coverage peaked at about 215,000 concurrent viewers during group play, driven by engagement from Brazilian audiences. After FURIA’s exit in the first playoff round, Portuguese broadcast peak viewership fell to roughly 14,000 and later recovered to about 40,000 for the grand final.
The playoffs used a single-elimination bracket featuring the top eight teams from group play. Team Falcons reached the final after wins over FURIA and magic, including a series that extended into multiple overtime maps. Team Spirit advanced by defeating G2 Esports and MOUZ before sweeping Falcons in the championship.
In group play, South American squad 9z Team opened with three straight wins to secure an early playoff berth. The MongolZ and PARIVISION, both ranked in the global top 10, did not advance out of their groups.
Finn karrigan Andersen made his competitive debut as Team Falcons’ in-game leader. He led the team to the final but recorded a 0.73 rating, his lowest over the past two years.
PGL Astana 2026 ranked as the second most-watched Counter-Strike event of 2026 so far, behind IEM Kraków 2026. Among PGL events, only the Majors in Stockholm, Antwerp and Copenhagen posted higher overall viewership.
