Bitwise brings crypto model portfolios to Parrot app

Bitwise integrated its crypto model portfolios into Parrot Finance’s retail app on June 18, giving users access to advisor-grade allocation frameworks. Parrot clients hold over $200 million.

Bitwise integrated its crypto model portfolios into Parrot Finance’s retail investing app on June 18, moving portfolios first built for financial advisors into a consumer-facing recommendation interface.

The portfolios are organized around broad crypto exposure, thematic strategies and systematic monitoring and rebalancing. Bitwise built the models to set target allocations, apply momentum-based rotation rules and run periodic rebalances so the allocation logic is managed inside the model framework. Parrot’s app presents those frameworks as managed allocation choices inside its broader investing interface rather than as individual ticker picks.

The lineup includes core portfolios for diversified crypto exposure, crypto-equity strategies that provide company-level exposure instead of direct tokens, and thematic allocations focused on areas such as stablecoin infrastructure, tokenization and assets beyond Bitcoin. One risk-managed portfolio rotates between long Bitcoin and ether futures exposure and US Treasuries based on momentum signals.

Parrot Finance is an SEC-registered investment adviser that links users’ brokerage accounts, offers institutional portfolios and uses an algorithmic recommendation engine. The app charges a subscription fee. Parrot’s Form CRS describes the service as offering both discretionary and non-discretionary advisory options and discloses limits, fees, conflicts and investment risks. Bitwise described Parrot as a next-generation RIA that can deliver its models through an intelligent recommendation layer to individual investors.

Bitwise launched model-portfolio solutions for digital assets for financial advisors in February and tested advisor-platform distribution with RFG Advisory in April. The Parrot rollout applies the same portfolio logic to a retail app, shifting the decision from picking individual crypto tickers to selecting a managed allocation path.

Bitwise noted Parrot clients collectively hold more than $200 million on the platform. The companies did not disclose how many users will adopt the Bitwise models or how much capital may flow into them.

Bitwise cited third-party research showing model-portfolio assets increased from about $400 billion in 2023 to more than $645 billion in 2025. Research firms have reported many model providers are prioritizing custom models and distribution to independent RIA practices. In the crypto market, regulated ETF wrappers have expanded investor access; the portfolios on Parrot use ETF- and fund-based exposure assembled, monitored and rebalanced inside allocation frameworks.

For now, the portfolios are available in a retail automated-advice setting on a platform with a stated asset base above $200 million. The companies have not reported public figures on user allocations into the Bitwise models.
